This blog post came to us during a recent visit to the Bob and Judy Charles SmartHome in Boulder.
Rebecca, who is a resident at the Bob and Judy Charles SmartHome in Boulder, is wearing her family reunion t-shirt that she got in Frisco, CO, over the 4th of July weekend. Rebecca told us her family went to a parade, had a campfire and made s'mores, went on a train ride, and had a lot of fun spending time together.

John Learns Money Skills
This blog post came to us during a visit to the Bob and Judy Charles SmartHome last night.
John is pictured below with the game Allowance at the Bob and Judy Charles SmartHome in Boulder. John has been using the game to improve his money and math skills (identifying different coins and bills, learning about spending and saving money responsibly, and more). John says that learning how many bills or coins he needs to make a purchase has increased his independence and that it’s a good thing to know. While he was showing how the game works (he said it's kind of like Monopoly) he took a bill out of the games box and properly and proudly identified it as a five dollar bill.
In addition to that, as a bonus, John said the game is a fun thing to play. He has taken the task of learning to count money very seriously so if you happen to see John, he'd probably appreciate knowing that his effort is valued.

Tom's Day At The Beach House
This blog post came to us from Tom, who wrote the following story during Imagine!’s Out & About department’s Creative Expressions class. We thank Tom and Out & About for sharing this story with us to use on the Imagine! Voices blog.
I went to the beach house when I was 15. It was fun going to the beach house. My sister and her son and her daughter came to the beach house too. We went swimming and took walks. We went to the downtown area and checked out the stores. I bought comic books.
It was a lovely day. It was a warm and sunny day, and it was a pleasant day. We also went to the grocery store. After shopping at the store we checked out. I bought Reese’s Pieces.
After that, we went back to the beach house to unload what we bought. After that, we cooked dinner and ate dinner. After dinner, we cleaned up and after that we watched TV. After that we went to bed, and the next morning, we had breakfast and went to the beach to go swimming.
Things I like are:
Collecting books.
Beach house.
Christmas gift.
Nice family.
Mother’s Day gift. It made my mom happy to see my gift. I gave my mom a plant for Mother’s Day. It was blue.
Being with group on every Thursday doing art work.
Hearing prairie dogs.
Hearing birds sing.

Donna Handcuffed For Stealing Gerald's Heart
This blog post came to us after a recent Innovations Advocacy Council meeting at Imagine!, which Gerald and Donna are volunteer members of.
A friend of Gerald's and Donna's had just given them some copies of photos that he had taken at the Bob and Judy Charles SmartHome in Boulder, where they live. Some of the photos were of Gerald, Donna, and staff member Cailin McCarthy having fun with Gerald's handcuffs.
Another member of the Innovations Advocacy Council, staff member Marie Handlin, was looking at photos of Donna handcuffed, and a passerby asked Donna why she was in handcuffs. Before Donna could answer, Marie cheerfully said, "She's handcuffed because she stole Gerald's heart."
(For those who don't know, Gerald and Donna are married).
