Mandy Plays Sorry With Youth Group Volunteers

This blog post came to us in an audio email from Mandy, who lives at the Bob and Judy Charles SmartHome in Boulder. Mandy had tried to send an email to us on Sunday but it didn’t come through.  Her computer is already fixed and sending audio emails again.

All of the residents in Mandy’s home have access to an audio email system that allows them to keep in touch with their friends and families. The residents choose who they want to send an email to from a list of people they’ve selected to have on their computer, and they speak into their computer and an audio email is sent to the recipient. When the recipient replies, the computer program reads the email to the resident. The best part is it’s really easy.

Our thanks to Shannon Bundy, Assistant Site Supervisor at the Bob and Judy Charles SmartHome for sending us the photo.

Hi, It’s Mandy. I’m sorry I didn’t leave you this message on Sunday but my computer was not working. We had fun with a bunch of youth group kids. We played Sorry. I will talk to you soon and probably see you soon. Bye.

Mandy is in the fuchsia purple shirt on the right playing Sorry with some of
her housemates and a youth group that is volunteering at the home.
